Future Plans
|
We plan to begin fundraising efforts to reconstruct
a three story building given to PYUNIC on July 18,
1998 by the government of Armenia to become the PYUNIC
Center for the Disabled in Yerevan. The Center will be
fully accessible and include administrative offices,
auditorium, sports facilities: swimming pool, gym,
fitness center, ping pong tables, vocational training
facilities, overnight accommodation rooms, and
facilities for income generating business employing
the disabled.
We also plan to:
- Develop income generating businesses to employ
the disabled.
- Participate in the 2000 Sidney Summer Paralympic
Games.
- Expand scope and level of current programs and
services.
- Further development of funding sources for
expansion of projects.
- Develop post high school educational
opportunities for disabled students.
- Translate dialog of films about disabled
individuals and disabled issues into Armenian so that
they can be shown on national TV in Armenia.
