 Future Plans

We plan to begin fundraising efforts to reconstruct a three story building given to PYUNIC on July 18, 1998 by the government of Armenia to become the PYUNIC Center for the Disabled in Yerevan. The Center will be fully accessible and include administrative offices, auditorium, sports facilities: swimming pool, gym, fitness center, ping pong tables, vocational training facilities, overnight accommodation rooms, and facilities for income generating business employing the disabled.

We also plan to:

  • Develop income generating businesses to employ the disabled.
  • Participate in the 2000 Sidney Summer Paralympic Games.
  • Expand scope and level of current programs and services.
  • Further development of funding sources for expansion of projects.
  • Develop post high school educational opportunities for disabled students.
  • Translate dialog of films about disabled individuals and disabled issues into Armenian so that they can be shown on national TV in Armenia.
